Will choosing a division lock me into a certain character’s route?

Hello! I hope you’re hydrated already ❤

This is something I’ve been considering for a while now, and a couple of nice players have already approached me with this question. The short answer I’ve arrived at after a lot of thought is yes, it will. But let me walk you through that decision’s process.

Each division will train their new members in a specific location, since each training will have its specific methods. Now, while you’ll definitely be seeing the other RO’s again and interacting with them here and there, you’ll also be spending the majority of your time in your division or in missions, alongside with the LI and some other members.

That being said, it only makes sense that you would coin a stronger relationship with someone you see very often.

I could, essentially, implement a way to go around that with a “visit” kind of system or putting the divisions to train in the same general area.

That would be cool, but I realized that it wouldn’t be the story I’m trying to tell you if I made it that way. I’ll keep this spoiler-free, but we know there’s a lot more going on in Ascendance’s world than what meets the eye.

I know that I may be making some of you choose between “duty and love” quite quickly 😅 But I’m afraid it can’t be helped. Everytime you choose something, unfortunately, you also give up something.

Maybe, if you like the final product enough, you can play the relationship route in the division of your main LI and the friendship route in the division that actually speaks to your heart, if those don’t happen to be the same.

I hope you can still play and enjoy the game when it’s released!

Love, Lou.
